Venezuelan clarinet trio
Created in July 2019 by the three Venezuelan clarinetists Carlos ESCALONA, Jésus David MILANO and Daniel Simón SUÁREZ, "Venezuelan Clarinet Trio" aims to highlight the Venezuelan and Latin American musical heritage, while exploring other horizons with passion, authenticity and boldness.
The trio invites you on a timeless musical journey: from traditional Venezuelan music to Bach's Italian concerto, via more contemporary pieces, this variable-geometry ensemble performs both transcriptions of original works for clarinet trio and major works from the classical repertoire.
This is a long-standing complicity, nurtured by the "El Sistema" adventure, a social music education program founded in 1975 by economist and musician José-Antonio
Abreu, which has transformed Venezuelan society and inspired the whole world.
This young ensemble has regularly worked alongside such prestigious conductors as Claudio Abbado, Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle and Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos,
Krzysztof Penderecki and many others, collaborating independently of the
Trio from the very start of their careers.
For the past 5 years, Carlos ESCALONA, Jésus David MILANO and Daniel Simón SUÁREZ have oscillated constantly between Brussels, Zurich and Paris: three cities that will mark the final stage of their musical studies.
Driven by an open-minded desire to decompartmentalize musical genres, "Venezuelan Clarinet Trio" explores the richness of all kinds of music and brings audiences together in the same artistic emotion." Venezuelan Clarinet Trio" is supported by "Buffet Crampon Paris" and "Vandoren France".
